William Gibson the “Father of Cyberpunk” the author who minted the term “Cyberspace” and the “Matrix concept”, among he’s most known works is the short story “Jhonny Mnemonic” that was the inspiration for the film with the same name and the film series “Matrix” (with the novell Neuromancer).
By “coinsidence”??
Both films had Keanu Reeves as lead star.
What “Cyberpunk” really is have not been defined, like “Sci-Fi”, so really “Cyberpunk” is “an undefined” sub genre of the undefined “Sci-Fi” genre.
Well you sort of recognise it when you see it…
Among the best definitions I have seen is:
“noir, near-future stories that explored the effects of technology, cybernetics, and computer networks on humans, a “combination of lowlife and high tech”"
When you read that you think “Blade Runner” (Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?) and Philip K. Dick’s Blade Runner was the inspiration for Gibson’s Neuromancer.
But… at the time Blade Runner was not Cyberpunk out of the reason the genre did not exist at the time.
I have only included stories I consider “Adult Sci-Fi” but have NOT included “AlienIII” since i believe that belongs in a “Alien Collection”

3. A couple of the books have other (newer) recordings with better (in my view) Audio
And of course a new torrent introduce the author to more people and keeps interest in the author alive.
