番組内容
毎年多くの観光客で賑わう春の京都。禅寺として最高の格式を誇る南禅寺のほか、界隈にある桜の名所をめぐる。まずは歌舞伎「楼門五三桐」で大泥棒・石川五右衛門が「絶景かな」と讃える名台詞で有名になった南禅寺三門の楼上から望む桜を紹介する。そのほか、江戸幕府3代将軍徳川家光の乳母、春日局が植えたとされる真如堂のたてかわ桜、哲学の道の起点にある熊野若王子神社の陽光桜などを案内。古都に咲き誇る桜の風景をお届けする。
